This is a small but really nice visitor center and somewhere to stop before doing Harpers Corner. The staff are friendly and helpful, with a good knowledge of the area. Its good to stop here and pick up maps of the area so that you can see where you can go off the main road and where the best hikes are. We also stopped for the loos :-)
Visitor center is a great starting point for the drive through the area. Paved road is a little over 30 miles of amazing views with turnouts allowing great photo opportunities. These photos are from various points we stopped. Be careful since there is livestock on the roadside and occasionally the road. The horses are an example. Lots of cattle also but didn't get photos since I was driving.
Not as nice or as much as the Quarry Visitor Center has to offer. But this side of the park is not to be missed. Best explorering in a truck you can take on dirt/mud roads.
This is the Colorado side visitor center. Note: no fossils here, you must go to the Utah side. This center was small with with knowledgeable ranger and clean restrooms. Use it as your starting point to visit the area.
Nice rangers at this small out of the way visitor center. Film available.
This is a hidden gem! If you have the right vehicle I suggest making the drive to Echo Park.
Cool place to stop and get some information on the museum or local hikes.
Was totally closed on oct 22 even though website said it would be open. Restrooms were still accessible. They say the canyon visitor center reopens in late spring, 2024.
